Currently, we are looking to add a Sr. Systems Engineer to our team of professionals. Selected individual should have superior skills with IIS and application engineering. This is initially a 12 month possible contract to hire position. Selected individual will work from home. This position does require about 25% travel to Atlanta GA area.
Day to Day
* Install, configure, monitor and tune IIS, SQL Server and Windows
* This position will be expected to provide tier 3 production support and perform production tasks after hours and on weekends as needed.
PRIMARY COMPETENCIES:
* Must have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* Experience with 3-tier and web architectures utilizing relational database platforms; proficient in Microsoft operating systems.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills, experience in a transactional high-volume, high availability production environment.
* Strong communication skills and willingness to train other colleagues as backup.
Minimum:
* Must have at least 5 years of relevant IT experience supporting web server farms in an enterprise environment using Microsoft technologies.
* 2 years of IIS, 1+ years of SQL Server experience (management and Scripting) AND 2 years of Windows.
* Demonstrates a strong working understanding of troubleshooting techniques and strategies including an ability to use troubleshooting tools.
* Demonstrates an ability to manage multiple project deliverables on multiple projects effectively.
* Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments
* Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills
