C++ Software Applications Engineer (Scientific) £30-35k + benefits!

We are looking for a Scientific Software Developer with excellent object-orientated C++ programming. The Software Developer will develop a primary scientific product highly sought after in the pharmaceutical industry. Role: Scientific Software Developer
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £30-35k + benefits including 25 days holiday, share option scheme, pension, childcare scheme, free car parking, on-site restaurant, flexible working hours
Key skills: C++ programming
Scientific Software Developer requirements include excellent object-orientated C++ programming and top academics.

As a Software Engineer you should also have experience with at least one or more of the following:
-Cross platform development experience with Windows and Linux
-Programming in other languages including Python, Perl, Java, Javascript or C
-Demonstrated interest or background in database internals, data visualistation, distributed systems, document processing, bioinformatics, semantic technology, XML processing, natural language processing or grid computing
-Exposure to build systems, testing frameworks, bug tracking systems, software version control, frameworks or interactive development environments

You'll join a spacious open plan office environment with a welcoming close-knit software development team. As a Scientific Software Developer you will have a top academic background including A grades at A Level and a 2:1 technical degree, preferably with demonstrated interest in text mining or business intelligence. You'll have an energetic, problem solving attitude and enjoy a technical challenge. With responsibility to work on a scientific flagship product critical to the pharmaceutical industry, you'll have the freedom to develop your skills and the opportunity to progress your software development career.
