Systems Back-End Engineer

My client, a large, international manufacturer and distributer of chemicals, is in need of a System Back End Engineer to begin a freelance contract position in Belgium as soon as possible. The contract will initially run for a duration of 3 months (plus possible extension to the end of the year).

Successful candidates will have the following profile:
Windows 7 migration project for a global chemical company (.000 users/devices).
The project will implement a new workplace solution targeting multiple devices and locations. Along with the upgrade to Windows 7 on fat clients the project will introduce a user segmentation concept to provide the business an optimized user environment.

Windows system engineer Back End systems
The project is looking for an excellent technical resource to build a Back End infrastructure to support a global Windows 7 migration. The Back End will contain at least the following components; Windows 2003/2008 server AD setup and admin, an App-V 4.6 environment, VM-ware ESXi setup to support several environments (Dev/QA/testing areas). The engineer will also assist in defining and building migration scenarios for global roll out.

Required Skills:

Excellent technical skills are required regarding;

   » Windows server administration (2003 - 2008)
» AD administration
» VMware
» App-V 4.6
» Powershell 2.0 Scripting, VBS and/or command line Scripting
» SCCM setup, configuration and administration
» Citirix XenApp 5 (or 6 preferably), including Provisioning server

Advantage technical skills;

   » Windows 7 OS
» Windows 7 components
» WinPE

Required certifications;

   » MCITP for Windows 2008
» Citrix XenApp certicication (CXA-300-1i or similar)

Advantage certifications:

   » Windows 7 certified (MCTS) and enterprise desktop administration
» CCA (Citirx Certified Administrator)

A minimum of 7 years IT experience is required. As a result a broad common IT knowledge is expected.

Personal skills:

   » Project minded personality with a team players attitude.
» Performance oriented, he meets the targets defined by the project manager shows willingness to exceed its.
» Able to work in an international environment.
» Self-governing in his job, he has to report all issues and situations correctly and timely and propose solutions.
» Handle escalations timely and respectful.
» Fluent ability to communicate technical points in English (both orally and in writing)
