Job Details
To provide care based on sound knowledge and current research findings.
To accept responsibility and be professionally accountable for total patient care for designated theatre lists
Demonstrate a consistently high standard of nursing care, developing care standards and monitoring their effectiveness through audit.
Promote a patient centred style of clinical practice, maintaining accurate and legible records of patient care.
Qualifications
Valid NMC Registrations / HPC
752 City & Guild
ENB 998 or equivalent
ENB 176/183/182
2 years post theatre course essential
Experience required in orthopaedics essential
Endoscopy experience would be an advantage
Skills/Experience
Anaesthetic and recovery skills desirable
Motivated to learn new skills and develop self
Excellent Communication skills
Scrubbing and Circulating Skills
Ability to communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge of NMC Professinal Codes and an awareness of Hospital Policies.
Evidence of competency in area of practice.
